Our History
Paullina Dental Care opened its doors in September 2024 with a fresh start and a deep sense of respect for the past. While our practice is new, it proudly carries forward the legacy of Dr. Thomas Roed, who faithfully served the Paullina community for over 40 years. Dr. Roed, alongside his wife Karen, built more than just a dental office—they created a place where patients felt genuinely cared for and known. His retirement in August 2024 marked the close of a remarkable chapter in local healthcare.

Now, that legacy continues under the care of Dr. Krayton Struve. A Granville native and graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Dr. Struve brings a passion for personalized care and modern innovation to every patient interaction. Her vision for Paullina Dental Care blends the small-town values of trust and compassion with the convenience of digital dentistry—like same-day crowns and in-house scanning. Dr. Struve is proud to follow in Dr. Roed’s footsteps, building meaningful relationships and delivering excellent care to the community for years to come.
Our Future
At Paullina Dental Care, we’re just getting started—and we’re already planning for a future that brings even more care, convenience, and comfort to our community. Later this summer, we’ll be relocating to the former MercyOne facility in Paullina, a move that marks an exciting new chapter for our practice and our patients.

This new location will allow us to expand the number of treatment rooms, grow our dental team, and offer a broader range of services—all while staying rooted in the town we love. Our goal is to provide high-quality care close to home, so you and your family don’t have to travel out of town for the dental treatments you need. Whether it’s advanced procedures, improved scheduling availability, or more same-day services, we’re building a practice that puts our patients first.
